Vet Text – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Vet Text! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vet Text mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Services

Vet Text is a telehealth platform connecting pet owners in California with licensed veterinarians via text-based consultations. The Service provides advice and triage support and is not intended for emergency or life-threatening situations.

2. Geographic Scope

The Service is currently available to users residing in California only.

3. No Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR)

Unless explicitly established through a qualifying consultation in accordance with California law, the use of Vet Text does not constitute a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR). All advice provided via the Service is based solely on the information you provide and should not be considered a substitute for in-person care or diagnosis.

4. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are eligible and that all information you provide is accurate.

5. Veterinarians as Independent Contractors

All veterinarians accessible through Vet Text are independent contractors. They are not employees, representatives, or agents of Vet Text, and Vet Text is not liable for the advice they provide.

6. Fees and Subscriptions

During the alpha testing phase, the Service is provided as a $0/month subscription. Future versions may require a paid subscription or one-time payments, which will be disclosed and require your consent before charges occur.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful or abusive purposes;
• Impersonate others or provide false information;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse veterinarians or other users;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or damage the app or its services.

Vet Text reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or any behavior deemed inappropriate, unlawful, or disruptive.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vet Text disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from use of the Service or reliance on advice provided through the platform.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or any other reason at our sole discretion.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes your acceptance.
